Molly Ann Woods, MHALA Chief Development Officer

We were thrilled to learn that SFTH was chosen from hundreds of Culver City non-profits to receive the Non Profit Transformation Prize for 2021! The prize was awarded at the second annual Culver City Non-Profit Convening and included a $5,000 grant. Hosted by the Wende Museum, the award was presented to Shoes for the Homeless, Inc. founder Ira Diamond by Culver City Mayor Alex Fisch.

The 2021 Non-Profit Transformation Prize is awarded annually to a Culver City based nonprofit that serves vulnerable community members in a transformational way including innovative programming or expanding the scope of outreach. The 2021 Prize was selected by a blue-Ribbon committee of community leaders. Speakers at the event included Justinian Jampol, Executive Director of the Wende Museum, Wendy Garen, CEO of the Ralph Parsons Foundation, Allen Libscomb, CSU Northridge professor, and Dr. Thomas Backer, Board member of the Wende Museum.
